About Me

Thanks so much for visiting my site!  Let me take a few minutes to tell you about myself and where I am coming from as a weight-loss blogger.

I'm a guy who joined a gym in 2010 and has been going consistently ever since. Although, I don't think I actually had ANY idea what I was doing until at least a full year (or more) later. The same goes for my diet, which has also been consistent ever since.

At one point, I weighed 95 kg. Certainly far from being super fat, but still fat enough to want to fix it. So, I was able to lose weight and get down to 72 kg by following the very same weight loss diet this web site is about. That's a total of 30 kg lost. Nothing too special, but it's still weight loss. I did it at the rate of about 1 or 2 pounds lost per week. If I had to describe what it was like in three words or less, I would honestly say "simple and easy." Seriously. Every week I'd get on the scale and another 1 or 2 pounds would be gone. Soon enough 33 pounds were gone and I was done.

By adjusting my diet and working pretty hard in the gym, I have since worked on gaining muscle and am currently about 71 kg. I think my final goal will be to get to 64 - 68 kg .

There's a few things about me that might come out through my writing. One is my love of working out. A lot of people hate to workout. They do it to look good and/or be healthy but they hate every second of it. Me on the other hand, I love it. I'm up at 6:00am every workout day to go to the gym. I wake up happy knowing that's what I'm about to do. I love pushing myself physically and mentally. Weight training, cardio, whatever... it's all fun to me.

The other thing is my will power. I'm not bragging here, but I've come to realize that I may have an above average amount of will power. You could lock me in a room with cookies, candy, chocolate, ice cream, potato chips and all kinds of junk food, and the thought of eating any of it wouldn't even enter my mind. The day I realized what my diet needs to be, I gave up all of those types of foods on the spot, cold turkey. I don't have cheat days. I don't have cheat meals. I don't "indulge in moderation." I just don't. I just happen to get more enjoyment out of knowing I don't need it than I would get of out actually eating those foods in the first place. But, that's just me.

I'm guess I'm technically done "losing weight." At this point I'm pretty much just looking to get stronger and increase muscle while making sure my body fat percentage doesn't increase much. If it does, I'll just lose whatever fat I happen to gain along the way. If I make losing fat sound simple, it's because it really is. I know this from first hand experience. Just adjust this here, adjust this there, and poof... weight loss happens. Don't worry, it's all explained on this web site for free. It's what The Lose Weight Diet is all about.
